The brief
PEPS Espais customises spaces. Its works aren't small, delicate pieces, but solid, imposing installations, often made with noble materials such as stone, metal or wood. They transform neutral areas, giving them personality and turning them into unique spaces unlike any other.
They asked us to restyle their corporate identity. Our initial conversations produced the key concepts: customisation to make a difference, solid and heavy structures, noble elements, attention to detail and the way each installation fits into its surroundings. The challenge was to translate this weight and solidity into a brand with a character of its own.
The solution
We built a bold typographic logo with real visual weight, conveying the solidity of the structures PEPS creates. The angular terminals of the typeface give it personality and make it unique: the graphic way of making a difference.
The mosaics are born from that same angular gap left by the terminals. Borders and patterns run through every application and represent fitting together: the combination of details that, like a mosaic, builds a whole. It's a resource the company itself uses in its work, and now it lives in the brand too.
For the materials and noble elements we chose a palette of earthy tones and greens close to nature and ceramic pigments. The system can be combined in positive and reversed versions, and we rolled it out across every application: business card, letterhead and email signature.
