The brief
The Sey Sisters asked us to design the packaging for their album “Let Freedom Ring”, a musical project rooted in the group's African heritage that needed to be carried over to the physical album.
They needed a design that captured this cultural identity in an authentic, elegant way, without resorting to clichés, and that worked on both the cover and the disc.
The solution
We built the cover of “Let Freedom Ring” around an African-inspired textile print, rich in colour and pattern, which gives the album a strong visual identity that is recognisable at first glance.
We carried the same print over to the disc and the inside of the case, so that every element of the packaging is part of a single visual story, from the cover to the CD.
The result is vibrant, consistent packaging that celebrates The Sey Sisters' cultural roots and gives the album a presence of its own on the shelf.
